Today we went to the Coconut Village to ride in bamboo boats through the ancient palm jungle waterways. It's a very popular tourist spot as you can see from the photos. Our paddler even showed us how to catch a crab - a very small one that she quickly returned to the mud bank.
A record of the more notable of our travels to interesting places. For more photos of our most recent trip than you'll find here go to my photo album page.

July 30 - Hoi Anh
In the afternoon we visited the Hoi Anh market where we ordered a pair of shoes and sandals for Chris and a Leather handbag for Di plus a couple of gifts to be picked up the following day. Then it was dinner in the old town.
July 24-29 2024 Ho Chi Minh - Hoi Anh
A short break away from a colder than usual Melbourne winter. Ho Chi Minh then Hoi Anh so far. The War Remnants Museum was confronting, particularly in the section on the effects of Agent Orange. There was a poignant display of work by war correspondents on both sides, many, many of whom died along with the soldiers they were filming.

Hoi Anh is an historic town, now mostly given over to tourism - and yes we did buy some goods to take home - all very good value of course! The town lights up at night as tourists flock to the old town for meals and sightseeing. We’ve enjoyed some delicious Vietnamese food everywhere we’ve been.
