Today we're in Blandford St Mary, a small ton in Dorset, not far from the harbour towns of Poole and Bournesmouth. We went for a walk around the town in the morning. They were preparing for a service of remembrance of the start of WWI on August 6th. Di added a poppy to a panel of poppies that will form the backdrop for the service.

In the afternoon we visited Kingston Lacy, a 16,000 acre property dating back to the mid 1600s and now owned by the National Trust.
The Obelisk in the garden comes from a temple near Aswan which we'll probably visit at the end of our trip.
