We took a 5 hour bus ride to Riga, capital of Latvia, past forests of Pine and Birch and other trees we didn’t recognise, as well as fields planted or ready for planting. The land is very green with lots of water ways en route.
Riga’s old city is not quite as pristine as Tallinn as it was heavily bombed during WWII and a few years later by Russia as they came in to take over. However the whole city has been rebuilt to its original condition, though with modern materials in many cases.
