Today we headed off for Killarney on our way to our next stop. Killarney has a large National Park on he edge of the city with a waterfall, a stately home, the ruins of an ancient Abbey and Ross Castle.

The Abbey was originally a Franciscan Friary but was suppressed by order of Henry VIII in 1541 and was eventually closed by the Cromwellians in 1652.
