June 3 Regensburg

Regensburg as a city dates back to the Roman Empire. It was a najor trading town before that but the Romans turned it into a firt city. Building a wall and towers around it. Only one tower remains next to a long stone bridge built 1135-1146.

As the war was ending the order was given to blow up this bridge but only two arches were destroyed and they were later replaced.

Next to n the bridge was a salt store for salt that was brought downriver from Salzburg.

The one remaining tower from the walls of the Roman.
