Overnight we joined the Danube-Main canal, 150km long. This climbs to the top of the European continental divide, 400m above sea level, then descendsvto the Main river using a total of 16 locks. The highest iof these is a 40m drop (or rise if you're going on the opposite direction).

Once in Nuremburg we were driven to the castle as above the city, then to the Art Bunker where local works of art were stored during the war. None of the Art was stolen, just brought from churches and private collections for safe keeping in what had once been be cellars.
Nuremburg has the largest preserved city wall in Germany.
